  • SAMKALP is Free from Hidden Agendas

I believe the best thing about SAMKALP is that it is free from hidden agendas and works for aspirants as an equal stakeholder, quietly supporting students away from the noise of marketing and self-promotion. This achievement is not mine alone—my parents worked even harder than I did to turn my dream into reality, while my friends stood beside me through every challenge and uncertainty, constantly motivating me. For me, this examination is not merely a test of knowledge but a true test of resilience, and therefore perseverance is the key. Since this was my third interview and I was allotted the same board as last year, I felt more confident and relaxed, which helped me answer calmly and effectively. During the interview, I shared that if I continued as a doctor, I would serve my patients, but as a civil servant, I would have the opportunity to serve the entire society. My advice to aspirants is to avoid blindly following the crowd or copying someone else's strategy. Understand the examination deeply, analyse your own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges, and then chart a strategy that truly works for you. I wish every aspirant strength, positivity, and success in their journey.Read more

  • Patience and Consistency Are the Real Keys to Success

My overall experience with SAMKALP was truly wonderful and confidence-building. The environment was friendly, welcoming, and supportive, while the mock interviews were extremely useful as the questions closely reflected the real UPSC interview experience. The guidance and feedback helped me gain confidence and improve my preparation significantly. I also had a very positive experience at the SAMKALP hostel, where the students, wardens, and staff were extremely helpful and cooperative. The food, rooms, and overall environment were comfortable and conducive to focused preparation. Throughout this journey, my parents, mentors, friends, and family played a major role in motivating and supporting me at every step. One of the biggest lessons I learned during preparation is the importance of patience and consistency. Academically, analysing UPSC previous year questions is extremely important as it helps in understanding the true nature of the examination. My interview experience was cordial and comfortable, and one of my best responses was when I explained my field experience as a Deputy Collector (Trainee). I strongly believe that persistence, self-confidence, mock tests, regular evaluation, honest feedback, and continuous follow-up are essential for success in this examination. Going forward, my priorities as a civil servant would be education and women empowerment, as I believe these areas can create meaningful and lasting change in society.Read more

  • Patience, Perseverance and Mental Strength Define the UPSC Journey

I was excited to join the SAMKALP Interview Guidance Programme because many of my seniors had highly praised their experience with the team, and my own experience turned out to be extremely enriching and insightful. I learned a great deal from the board that conducted my mock interview, and I would especially like to mention Mr. Sridev and Mr. Raju Chauhan for coordinating the mock interviews with remarkable ease and finesse. The mock interview at SAMKALP was the closest in nature to the actual UPSC interview, and I would strongly recommend aspirants to make it the final mock before appearing for the real interview. Throughout my journey, my seniors, friends, and parents played the most important role by constantly supporting and encouraging me. One of the biggest lessons I learned during preparation was the importance of patience and perseverance, along with the ability to continuously adapt and evolve according to the demands of the examination. My actual UPSC interview experience was very cordial and comfortable, as the board focused more on understanding me through my DAF rather than simply questioning me. One of my best responses during the interview was related to my hobby, Carnatic Music, where I was asked to differentiate between Hindustani and Carnatic music. My advice to future aspirants is to take care of their mental health, as the long preparation journey can often become emotionally exhausting. Staying close to friends and family and drawing strength from them can make a significant difference in facing the challenges of this examination. Once again, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire SAMKALP team for guiding me through the many dimensions of interview preparation and supporting me throughout this journey.Read more

  • There is No Substitute for Hard Work and Discipline

My experience with the SAMKALP family was extremely enriching and helpful. The positive atmosphere, guidance from mentors, and interactions with fellow aspirants created a highly motivating environment throughout my preparation journey. The interview board sessions were especially valuable because they closely resembled the real UPSC interview setting, while the open mock interviews helped me refine my answers, improve clarity of thought, and build confidence in expressing my views. Overall, the programme played a significant role in preparing me both mentally and academically for the final stage of the examination. The biggest contribution in my journey has come from my parents, who have always been my strongest support system and stood by me through every phase of preparation with unwavering faith and encouragement. Their sacrifices and belief in me kept me motivated even during difficult times. Alongside them, my friends also played an important role by supporting me in studies, discussions, and maintaining consistency. The most important lesson I learned during preparation is that there is absolutely no substitute for hard work and discipline. Consistency in daily efforts matters much more than occasional bursts of motivation, and ultimately hard work surpasses talent if talent does not work hard. Facing the UPSC interview board was a cordial and comfortable experience, as the members were polite and genuinely interested in understanding my personality and views. The interaction felt more like a meaningful discussion than an interrogation. I believe my best responses were those in which I remained honest, calm, and structured, especially while answering situational and opinion-based questions. My advice to future aspirants is to work hard consistently and give their best every single day. Aspirants should limit their study sources and revise them multiple times instead of constantly adding new material. Equally important is taking care of mental health and emotional stability, because a calm and balanced mind greatly enhances both preparation and performance in this demanding examination.Read more

  • An Open Mindset is Essential for Success

My experience with the Interview Guidance Programme at SAMKALP was extremely enriching and beneficial. Both the mock interviews and the expert guidance sessions played an important role in helping me prepare for the personality test by improving my confidence, perspective, and overall approach towards the interview. The most significant contribution in my journey has come from my mother and father, whose constant support, encouragement, and belief in me kept me motivated throughout the preparation process. UPSC preparation has taught me many valuable lessons, but one of the most important among them is the need to acknowledge diversity of opinions and multiplicity of views in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of issues. I believe this openness of thought is extremely important not only for the examination but also for life and public service. My advice to future aspirants is to always keep an open, constructive, and balanced mindset towards different ideas and perspectives while continuing their preparation with sincerity and dedication.Read more

  • Honesty is the Best Reply in the UPSC Interview

The SAMKALP family played a key role during the Personality Test phase of my UPSC journey. The various online sessions, observing mock interviews in groups, and the study material provided by SAMKALP added immense value to my preparation. I appeared for one mock interview at SAMKALP, and it served both as a major confidence booster and the closest depiction of the actual UPSC interview experience. The warm hospitality and support I received, especially from Mr. Shree Dev and Mr. Raju Chauhan, were truly unparalleled, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to them and the entire SAMKALP family for helping me achieve my goal. Undoubtedly, my parents and brother have contributed the most to my journey, standing beside me through every high and low with constant motivation, guidance, and inspiration. This success belongs to them as much as it belongs to me. One of the most important lessons I learned during preparation is that studying alone is not enough; preparation must always be supplemented with regular practice and proper guidance. This examination rewards repeated effort, perseverance, and continuous improvement. My experience with the interview board was very cordial and memorable, as the members were receptive to my responses and also shared valuable perspectives that added to my understanding. Above all, I believe the best reply in an interview is honesty, because nothing can truly surpass sincerity and authenticity.Read more

  • Consistency is More Rewarding Than Intensity

I participated in the Interview Guidance Programme at SAMKALP, where I was provided with a mock interview environment that closely resembled the real UPSC Personality Test experience. The guidance and support I received during the programme helped me prepare with confidence and clarity. With the grace of God and the constant support of my near and dear ones, I was able to qualify UPSC CSE 2025. This was my fourth attempt, and one of the most important lessons I learned during this long journey is that consistency is far more rewarding than intensity. My actual Personality Test experience was cordial and engaging, and I was even given an opportunity to ask one question from my generation to the older generation. In response, the Chairman shared an insightful perspective on the importance of digital fasting, which left a lasting impression on me. My advice to future aspirants is that PYQs and the UPSC syllabus should become their best friends. Aspirants must trust the power of consistent practice for both Prelims and Mains, because regular disciplined effort ultimately leads to success in this examination.Read more

  • A Consistent Aspirant Will Inevitably Succeed

My experience with the SAMKALP family and the Interview Guidance Programme was extremely valuable and enriching. The mock interviews conducted at SAMKALP were among the best and closest to the real UPSC interview experience. The interview boards were highly professional and insightful, while the overall management and coordination were excellent throughout the programme. In my journey so far, my family and friends have been my constant pillars of support, encouraging me through every challenge and phase of preparation. One of the most important lessons I learned during UPSC preparation is that even the best aspirant may sometimes fail, but a consistent aspirant will inevitably succeed. My experience with the actual interview board was overall cordial and welcoming, although one member tried to test my limits during the interaction, which ultimately became an opportunity to remain calm and composed under pressure. My advice to future aspirants is that with consistency, the right mindset, and disciplined effort, one can definitely clear this examination and achieve success.Read more

  • SAMKALP's IGP provide a highly realistic simulation

Programmes like SAMKALP's Interview Guidance Programme provide a highly realistic simulation of the UPSC Personality Test and create a valuable space for self-correction, reflection, and confidence-building under the guidance of mentors like Raju Sir and Prasad Sir. My journey was strongly supported by an incredible support system comprising my family and my peers at Jamia RCA, who gave me the emotional and intellectual strength required to navigate the many highs and lows of this preparation cycle. One of the most important lessons I learned during this journey was the importance of shifting my mindset from being outcome-oriented to process-oriented by focusing only on the controllable aspects of preparation and performance. This approach helped me remain calm and composed even during cross-questioning on sensitive issues such as child labour in Bhadohi during my actual interview. By referring to ILO reports to challenge the "nimble hands" fallacy and discussing government initiatives, I was able to combine analytical clarity with a strong connection to my roots and lived experiences. My advice to future aspirants is to continue strengthening their fundamentals, remain curious through active brainstorming, and engage with their personal interests to avoid burnout during this long journey. Above all, aspirants must remain committed to constant self-reflection and continuous improvement, as these qualities ultimately shape both personal growth and success in the examination.Read more

Becoming a part of the SAMKALP family was a truly enriching experience. The warm atmosphere, insightful mock interviews, detailed feedback, and discussions, especially on Commerce, helped me improve my confidence and articulation for the final interview. Throughout my journey, my family has been my greatest source of support and motivation. The most important lesson I learned during UPSC preparation is the value of resilience, humility, and balanced self-awareness, as this examination tests both knowledge and character. My interview experience was cordial and comfortable, and I believe my best response was when I said that I do not follow a single role model but learn different values and virtues from different people. • Effective Planning and Revision Are the Keys to Success

Being a part of the SAMKALP Interview Guidance Programme was a truly valuable experience. The specialised sessions on Home State, one-to-one DAF discussions, and mock interviews conducted by senior bureaucrats greatly helped in shaping my personality and confidence. I am especially grateful to SAMKALP's Hobby Expert, Mr. A. L. Sharma Ji, whose guidance, knowledge, and insights proved invaluable throughout my preparation. My UPSC journey has been the result of years of hard work and perseverance, and my parents, teachers, and mentors have always been my strongest pillars of support and motivation. My interview mainly revolved around geopolitics, particularly Indo-US and Indo-China relations, and my conceptual understanding of PSIR helped me handle the discussion effectively. • Discipline is the Real Key to UPSC Success

My experience with the SAMKALP Interview Guidance Programme has been extremely meaningful and productive. I was a part of SAMKALP's IGP last year as well, and in my opinion, its interview setting comes closest to the real UPSC interview in terms of simulation and preparation testing. Though many people supported me throughout this journey, my friends, especially Shubhankar (IAS 2022), played a major role by guiding and motivating me at every stage of preparation. The most important lesson I learned during this journey is that discipline is the key. Regardless of failures in any attempt, one must return to the study table with determination and continue preparing consistently. My interview experience with B.B. Swain Sir's board was very cordial, with questions based on both my DAF and current affairs. I believe my best response was on India's performance in increasing forest cover over the last decade, where I could effectively explain the reasons along with relevant government initiatives. My advice to future aspirants is to give two or three completely serious attempts to this examination with total dedication and discipline. If one chooses this path, there should be zero deviation from the preparation plan and complete sincerity towards the goal.Read more

  • SAMKALP has been an important part of my UPSC journey

SAMKALP has been an important part of my six-year UPSC journey, and I am deeply thankful to the team for arranging mock interviews from 2022 to 2025 that closely resembled the real UPSC interview experience. Throughout this journey, God and my Gurus, along with my parents and close friends, have contributed immensely — from the day I opened my NCERT books and filled the UPSC form to now reaching the gates of LBSNAA. I have appeared before four UPSC interview boards, and interacting with such accomplished personalities has itself been a great learning experience. I realised that the board looks for individuals who are strong, solution-oriented, and composed in their thinking. I believe my best response this year was when the Chairperson asked whether India has high levels of corruption, and I replied that the first step towards solving corruption is accepting it as a problem, because only then can meaningful solutions emerge. My advice to future aspirants is to remain disciplined, follow a clear strategy, manage time effectively, take care of both mental and physical health, and most importantly, maintain a "Never Say Die" attitude throughout the preparation journey.Read more

  • A remarkable service by SAMKALP

SAMKALP has been providing a remarkable service to UPSC aspirants, and being a part of its Interview Guidance Programme was a very valuable experience for me. The mock interviews conducted by former bureaucrats offered an environment that came closest to the real UPSC interview experience and helped me prepare with confidence. Throughout my journey, my parents, sister and jiju, teachers, and close friends have been my strongest support system. This was my second UPSC interview, and the overall experience was cordial and relaxed. I believe my best response was on the controversy related to a retired Army Chief's book, where I stated that service to the nation does not end with retirement and that national security should take precedence as a reasonable constitutional restriction. My advice to future aspirants is to listen to everyone, absorb what is truly useful, ignore the unnecessary noise, and ultimately follow a strategy that works best for you.Read more

  • Consistency and Patience Are Non-Negotiable

My experience with the SAMKALP Interview Guidance Programme was extremely valuable, and the guidance provided was highly relevant to the actual UPSC interview process. The management and coordination were very smooth, and scheduling mock interviews was always hassle-free. Throughout my journey, my mother has been my biggest strength and support system. She stood beside me at every stage and accompanied me to all my examinations. My interview board was in a grilling mode, but the members listened patiently and calmly to all my responses, which helped me handle the interaction with confidence. The most important lesson I learned during preparation is that consistency and patience are absolutely non-negotiable. Aspirants must remain honest with themselves about their level of preparation and avoid bluffing themselves. My advice to future aspirants is simple — if I can do it, anyone can do it. One just has to prepare with complete sincerity so that there remains no room for doubts or "ifs and buts" on the day of the examination.Read more

  • Calmness and Composure Are Crucial in the UPSC Journey

My experience with the SAMKALP Interview Guidance Programme was extremely positive and closely aligned with the actual demands of the UPSC Personality Test. The mock interview panel asked questions based entirely on my DAF while covering diverse areas, which gave me immense confidence and made the real interview feel very familiar. Throughout my journey, my parents remained my strongest support system from the first day of preparation till the final stage. My husband also played a significant role by helping me plan my strategy while I focused on execution. The most important lesson I learned during this process is that remaining calm and composed helps greatly in planning, strategising, and performing effectively, as this examination tests emotional stability as much as knowledge and hard work. My actual interview experience was very pleasant, with questions based on both my academic and professional background. One of the most memorable discussions was when I connected a question related to the movie Durrandar with Chanakya's Mandal Siddhant and explained its relevance in contemporary international relations and security challenges. Overall, the interview gave me an opportunity to present my thoughts with confidence, clarity, and balance.Read more

  • Success Can Be Delayed, But It Cannot Be Denied

My experience with the SAMKALP family was extremely warm and comfortable. The cordial staff and interview panel helped me identify weaknesses in my communication and oration skills, while the quality of questions asked during the mock interviews was truly at par with the UPSC Personality Test. I believe I myself have been the biggest contributor to my journey, but it would not have been possible without the emotional support, mentorship, and encouragement of my family, friends, and fellow aspirants. The most important lesson I learned during UPSC preparation is that success may be delayed, but it cannot be denied. My interview experience was very cordial, and I realised that the board mainly tests presence of mind and composure. Knowledge gaps can be forgiven, but losing confidence and calmness cannot. My advice to future aspirants is to treat the Civil Services Examination as an exam and not as life itself. • Failures Teach Patience, Perseverance and Humility

My experience at SAMKALP was truly valuable, and interestingly, some of the questions asked during the mock interview were repeated in my actual UPSC interview as well. I believe the biggest contributor to my success has been the lessons I learned from my failures, as they taught me patience, perseverance, and humility throughout the journey. My interview board was very cordial, and the interaction felt more like a meaningful conversation than a formal interview. One memorable light moment came when the Chairperson asked me, "Why are you not feeling cold?" and I replied, "Ma'am, UPSC was kind enough to give us heaters," which made everyone laugh and eased the atmosphere. • Consistency and Discipline Lead to Success

My association with the SAMKALP Interview Guidance Programme since 2024 played a significant role in strengthening my preparation for the UPSC Personality Test in both attempts. The group mocks, discussions, expert-led sessions, and especially the DAF analysis by Santosh Sir helped shape my thought process, improve communication skills, and boost my confidence. The biggest contributors to my journey have been my parents, grandparents — especially my nana and nani — along with my mentors, teachers, and friends who constantly motivated and supported me. The most important lesson I learned during this journey is the value of consistency and discipline, because setbacks are inevitable but the real strength lies in restarting with renewed determination. My interview experience was cordial and engaging, with the board being receptive to my views. One memorable question asked to me was, "No two people read the same book," which tested my interpretative thinking and perspective. • UPSC is a Journey, Not a Destination

My experience with the SAMKALP family and the Interview Guidance Programme was extremely positive, especially because of the lack of commercialisation and the presence of genuine feedback that truly helped in personality improvement. Throughout my journey, my parents and husband created an unconditional support system that allowed me to study peacefully without worrying about material needs. The most important lesson I learned during UPSC preparation is the philosophy of Nishkama Karma — focusing on sincere effort rather than the result, and believing that UPSC is a journey, not the final destination of life. My interview experience was cordial, and although I scored 185 marks, I still feel there was room for improvement in certain answers. The discussion included questions on topics such as changes in textbooks, Indore's water contamination strategy, changing social attitudes towards marriage, and my habit of reflective diary writing for self-evaluation. My advice to future aspirants is to work hard without attaching self-worth solely to the UPSC result, because success in life is much larger than a single examination. As a future civil servant, my priority would be effective policy implementation with strong last-mile delivery and citizen-centric governance, while eventually contributing towards policymaking at the intersection of economy, technology, and sustainability for a better future.Read more

  • There Is No Substitute for Honest Hard Work

    I have been associated with the SAMKALP Interview Guidance Programme, and the mock interview environment there comes closest to the actual UPSC interview experience. It helped me greatly in building confidence and refining my answers for the Personality Test. Throughout my UPSC journey, my family, especially my mother, has been my greatest source of strength and support. This examination taught me the importance of perseverance and mental resilience, while reinforcing the sacred message of the Bhagavad Gita — that we only have control over our actions, not over the fruits of those actions. My advice to future aspirants is to focus on honest hard work, because there are no shortcuts in life or in this examination. At the same time, aspirants must adapt to the changing nature of UPSC, which increasingly demands analytical understanding of issues around us. Read more
