How Admission Works at Samkalp Coimbatore

Most coaching websites tell you to enrol and leave you to guess what that involves. This page sets out the whole path, in order, with the time each step takes and the name of the person responsible for it. There are six steps. None of them requires a payment until the fifth.

Step 1 — You make contact

Call +91 95976 93209, send a message on WhatsApp, email info@samkalpias.in, or fill in the form on any page of this site.

Whichever route you use, a person replies. Our commitment is a reply on the same working day for anything that reaches us before 16:00, and by the end of the next working day otherwise. Office hours are Monday to Saturday 09:00 to 19:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 17:00.

What we will ask, at this stage, is short: your name, a number we can reach you on, and roughly where you are — in college, graduated, working, or preparing already. We do not need documents yet and we will not ask for a payment.

What we will not do: We will not call you eleven times. One follow-up call if you do not answer, and after that we wait for you. You will not be added to a broadcast list unless you tick the box asking to be.

Step 2 — Free counselling, about twenty minutes

Counselling is free, carries no obligation, and can be taken in person at Avinashi Road, on the telephone, or on video. You choose. You can also choose to have the conversation in Tamil or in English — there is a field for it on the booking form, and it is there because it changes who takes the call.

In the session we go through where you actually are, what the Civil Services Examination demands of somebody in your position, which of our programmes fits, and whether you should enrol at all this year. That last one is not a formality. If you would be better served finishing your degree first, preparing on your own for six months, sitting a state examination, or taking a test series instead of a course, we will say so.

Parents are welcome in the session and are frequently the reason it is useful. If you want your parents in the room or on the call, tell us when you book and we will schedule accordingly.

Step 3 — A recommendation, in writing

Within a set number of working days of the counselling session you receive a short written note by email. It states what we understood about your position, what we recommend, what it costs, what it does not include, and what we think you should do first if the answer is that you should not enrol yet.

This exists because a verbal recommendation is unarguable after the fact and a written one is not. It also gives you something to show the person who is paying.

Step 4 — You apply

If you decide to go ahead, complete the application form. It takes about five minutes and asks for eleven pieces of information, all of which are listed on that page before you start, so you know what you are getting into.

Applying is not paying, and it does not commit you. It tells us which batch you want and gives us what we need to check that the batch is right for you.

Documents: At application we ask for nothing. At the point of joining we ask for: a photograph, one government photo identity document, and your degree certificate or, if you are a final-year student, your current enrolment proof.

Step 5 — Confirmation and fee

We confirm your place in a named batch with a start date, and send a payment link. Fees are published in full on the fees page: the UPSC Foundation Course is ₹15,000 and the UPSC Crash Course is ₹65,000.

You receive a receipt by email on the day the payment clears. Read the refund policy before you pay, not after. It is short and it is on the site precisely so that you can.

Step 6 — Joining, and the first two weeks

Before your first class you receive a joining pack containing the timetable, the class link or the classroom location, the study material access details, the name and contact of your assigned mentor, and the attendance and conduct expectations.

Within a set number of days of your first class your mentor gives you a written preparation plan for the period ahead. From that point you should always know what you are meant to be doing this week and who to ask when you are stuck. If you do not, that is a failure on our side and the escalation route is on the contact page.

If you are not ready

A proportion of the people we counsel should not enrol this year, and we would rather tell them than take the money. If that is you, the useful next steps are free and are all on this site: check whether you are eligible, read how to start UPSC preparation, read whether you actually need coaching, and work through the previous year question papers to see the standard for yourself.

Come back when the timing is right. We will still be on Avinashi Road.

FAQs

Do I have to pay anything to enquire or to attend counselling?
No. Enquiry and counselling are both free and carry no obligation. The first payment in the process comes at Step 5, after you have applied and we have confirmed your place in a named batch.
Can my parents attend the counselling session?
Yes, and it is often more useful when they do, because they usually have the practical questions about cost, duration and what happens if it does not work out. Tell us when you book and we will schedule a time that suits everybody.
Can the counselling session be in Tamil?
Yes. There is a language field on the booking form for exactly this reason. Choosing Tamil changes who takes your call.
What documents do I need to join?
At the application stage, none. At joining: a photograph, one government photo identity document, and your degree certificate or current enrolment proof if you are still studying.
What if I enrol and then cannot continue?
Read the refund policy before you pay. It states the window, the proportion refundable and the process.
